I am going to offer you three choices here — 3 exercises that you can do each within 3 minutes that will radically change your life.
If you do all three, it will take you 9 minutes a day and it will expand your network, move your business (or life) forward without getting lost or overwhelmed, and
Number 1, the network
Jesse Itzler, which I follow on IG, has been amazingly inspirational (and a little too crazy sometimes — I hope he does not read this article XD). He carries a calendar around with him just to plan out the whole year, but one of the things that I really admire about him is that he keeps growing. He keeps trying new things, keeps learning a bunch of different skills each year.
He has recently spoke about a “3 Minute Miracle” which I really find valuable (Thank you Jesse Itzler).
So the “3 Minute Miracle” is like you just text 3 people that you are grateful for what they are doing, or what they offer, or how they impact you or inspire you or help you in any way that they may not even be aware of.
Each text takes less than 1 minute.
So 3 people, 3 texts a day = less than 3 minutes each day.
And that is the miracle — next time you see that someone which you have texted and thanked, you can go up to him or her and say “hey xxx, I’ve messaged you before! ……” which warms up the conversation immediately.
And it is not hard to do, nor expensive. It is something that ANYONE can do that can radically impact your business, relationships and reach.
You do not need to be awkward, or spend tons of money to go to fancy restaurants to expand your network — 3 text messages to 3 people every day will do the magic.
All you need is consistency. And in a year, you can reach 1,095 people! Can you imagine!
This is game-changing and very do-able.
Number 2 the execution
As the founder of “Sustainable, Simplified, Soulful” business and execution coach, I support my client in execution to grow their business.
Because guess what? What gets us result at the end of the day is going through the process (aka execution).
Without proper (i.e. sustainable, simplified, soulful) execution, it would be so easy to get distracted, fed up, frustrated, overwhelmed, burnout, and even quit.
One of the exercises that many clients find useful is at the beginning of each week and day, list out 3 things that you as the CEO of your business need to focus on to move your business forward this week or today.
Here’s what it will look like:
3 Things That Move My Biz Forward Today:
1.
2.
3.
That is like making an order to the universe before you get buried by the busyness and all the things that you think you need to do (e.g. creating freebies, searching for another IG algorithm hacks etc) which could be just barriers and steps that you create for yourself because you may be avoiding the sales and conversion part which may be scary or uncomfortable to you.
Having this mark down helps you get through the day without getting lost.
Number 3 making decision
How to make difficult decision in 3 minutes?
Here’s what I do and a strategy that I pass onto my clients who want to make decisions with ease and alignment.
A lot of the times, self-doubt, fear, lack of belief, lack of confident will guide us to make the ‘small’ decision that is not for our best interest.
By ‘small’ decision, I mean most likely we would stay the same as we are living right now even if that means we are dissatisfied or want to change. When it comes to making the decision to change, we struggle, we hesitate, we hold our horses and become indecisive.
Here is what you can try:
1. Get a sheet of paper or your journal
2. Draw a line in the middle
3. On the left hand side, write down what your fear, the devil in your heart, the playing-small-and-safe self is telling you
4. On the right hand side, write down what your loving, future self, the you-only-live-once self, the true core alignment self is telling you.
5. Now ask yourself — which voice do you decide to feed? Which voice is your higher self? Which voice you want to speak to your loved ones and your clients?
This exercise really helps because every thoughts are now spilled out and written now and VISIBLE.
Psychologically, we are afraid of what we cannot see so having all of these written down helps to take the pressure off a bit.
And we can then look at the decision from a “higher point of view” and a more objective view to make a decision that speaks to us more, that we want to step into, that we want to become.
That, my dear, is how I make difficult, or shall I say, uncomfortable, decision.
Rather than thinking about it whole day, spend 3 minutes (of course you can take longer if you need) to go through the process, dump your thoughts on paper and cateogise them at the same time to make a decision that you won’t regret.
