let this article serves as a wake-up call if you’re feeling stuck, hit a plateau

no pluff, no secret magic formula, just practical steps that you can act on and get results

1. Audit your biz activities

List out ALL the business activities you have done last week in the weekly schedule provided, include consuming any content / youtube on anything that you were looking up online

(Tips: if you can’t remember, it is worth tracking all your business activities for a week in the schedule so you are aware of where you’ve been spending time on your biz)

2. Distinguish producing and consuming activities

Use 2 highlighters of different colors. Highlight those consuming activities in red. And highlight those producing activities in green.

What is the proportion of producing: consuming activities now?

- What are producing activities?

Activities that are money-making:

a touchpoint to bring the potential client closer to buying from us or

content to strengthen our personal brand or

sales activities

E.g. writing a blog post,

filming a youtube video

creating an IG story series

going live on FB

pin a picture on Pinterest

having a sales call

- What is consuming activities?

Activities that are neither of the above, generally consuming other people’s content

E.g. watching a youtube video

joining a webinar

reading a blog

I have a 5-day mini-course which is just $29 (https://bit.ly/3oOSBTB) and I show you step by step how to audit and re-work your current to-do list, with clarity to know where you should be investing your time to really move your business forward in the shortest time possible.

It is really the program to get if you want to go from rarely booking clients & trying a bunch of different things →> to having a rock-solid Action Plan focusing on money-making activities in 5 days!

Because after all, action is what makes things happen.

You’ll end up with a solid action plan to get fully booked and I have previous student who signed up 7 clients within 3 months after spending this $29 and 20 mins studying this program for 5 days.

you can get it on my IG @simplifiedbusinesscoach -> link in bio (you can see the “Bring in the sales” 5-day course. It’s really about taking the right action to get what you want.

3. Social Media Detox — Create More, Consume Less

I understand how easy consuming can be.

When I first started my business, I consume 90% of the time.

1. I wanted to find a way that works before I actually go do it

2. I felt that I wasn't ready or qualified yet so I want to stuff myself with more information and experience from other people (wanted to learn as much as I can)

that’s not wrong.

but at some point, I woke up and found myself in the learning rabbit hole where I just keep learning learning and learning without actually moving my business forward.

I kept myself so busy (I could consume like 10–12 hours a day) but without doing even 1 producing activity to bring the potential client closer to buying from me or doing any sales activities.

it was only a year after that I realized that isn’t going anywhere. I was in the same position where I was a year ago, maybe just with a ton of information on my hands.

At some points, we’ve got to push ourselves out of our comfort zone and really take action.

If you’re unsure if the actions you take is moving the business forward, again I recommend the “bring in the sales” 5-day mini-course, which is just 15–20 mins a day and you can have a solid action plan (https://bit.ly/3oOSBTB)

Other than that, there’s should be no excuse to continuing consumption and not producing. Producing is what moves our business forward.

When you look around, all the businesses in the world is producing something — it could be goods or services. But the point is they are producing, that’s what makes them money. You won’t get paid consuming.

So what I encourage you to do today is go on a social media detox. Cut back at least 50% of the time you spent consuming content on social media and use that time to create and engage in producing activities instead.
